TO RELEASE NEW STUDIO ALBUM
ON SHOUT! FACTORY

12 ANGRY MONTHS

IN STORES MAY 13, 2008

Los Angeles, CA – Alternative rock mainstays Local H return with their seventh album on May 13, titled 12 Angry Months. The band’s debut on Shout! Factory, 12 Angry Months is Local H’s first new studio album since 2004’s Whatever Happened To P.J. Soles?

Written after the bitter end of a long-term relationship, the album chronicles a full year of post-breakup experiences. Each track on 12 Angry Months corresponds to a month, and deals with the range of emotions one encounters after love turns sour. Those emotions range from anger (“so, baby could you do me a favor? fall of the earth and i'll see you later”), to jealousy (“this is crazy, I can’t believe that you replaced me”), to acceptance (“you knew we'd never make it anyway”).

Highly regarded for their powerful sound and unique two-man lineup with Scott Lucas on vocals and guitar and Brian St. Clair on drums, Local H is known for derisive lyrics, heavy guitars and feedback, energetic live shows, and an active relationship with their fans. The band performs regularly, and will be on tour nationally in 2008.

The old H board is no more, here's a link to the new one, in case you need it.  You have to re-register, but it's definitely an upgrade from the old one.

See you on the bbs.

Summer Movies (Scott solo)
Toxic
It's a Long Way to the Top

after "it's a long way" Scott led the crowd in a clap-along a-capella version of Fritz's Corner (which wasn't otherwise played) and crowd surfed over to the merch table. Some technical difficulties at the beginning, but it all worked out. Scott was funny, and was drinking water (sober?)
I saw some old friends I wasn't expecting to. It was good times.

What up Local H fans...
My name is John and I've justed joined this community. I figured if a 13 year old girl who is listening to "Hands" posted something I probably should too. No offense girly since I've been listening to H since I was about that age too (since Pack up the Cats came out) and I'm glad you have too. I seen the H six times now all of them in IL. The best was the first time when they played at the VFW in Sullivan. THE VFW!!!!! There wasn't even a stage!!! It was absolutely amazing. If anybody has a recording of that show I would like to know about it... now matter how bad the quality. Well I'll check back in frequently and I hope everybody has a great day and night.

It's been over two months since I last posted in LJ, and the first post back is going to be in Hit_the_Skids. What's up fellas? A duck friend of mine asked me to post this for you gents. A live version of Cynic from the D.C. show is here: http://www.localh.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/002781.html. Pretty cool.

Hope you are all well. Rock n Roll.

live local h audio and video [04 Apr 2005|10:47pm]

hittheskids
for anybody who doesn't read the local h board enough to have already seen my post there, i have started a website to host some of my live audio and video work.

most of the good stuff i have to show is local h stuff, so that's why this post is here. on my site, you'll find six videos from the 4/22/04 philly show. but these are better than just regular live videos. they're from the three-angle mix of the show that i'm working on. i have also posted four mp3s from my 4/29/04 atlanta, ga @ the echo lounge recording. this recording came out unexpectedly well, and it's still one of my favorites. there are also a few videos and mp3s from a couple of other bands on there if you're bored. i'll continue to add more stuff as i have time.

so yeah, have a look and/or listen and let me know what you think.
